Adore Care Homes is a small, privately owned company. The Directors have been involved in the care sector for over 25 years. Quite simply, we are passionate about care and adore looking after older people. Health , happiness, vitality and wellbeing are central to our service ethos.
We are serious about our work which involves a substantial amount of regulation and administration that we have to attend to. We have excellent governance support to help us with this. For the most part though, we like having fun. We like to wear a smile on our faces and get great satisfaction by putting a smile on yours!
We are really proud of our care homes; Weavers Court in Yeadon, and our new care home The DurhamGate in County Durham. There are lots of interesting features about our homes and places inside and outside to enjoy. Most of all though, we are proud of our staff team and the other people that work with us to make everyone’s lives a little bit easier and more enjoyable.

Home Manager
Sarah has a wealth of care home experience from large purpose built assets to smaller
converted operations. She has both commissioned homes and managed turn-around
situations. She has an up front, open door policy and is passionate about the delivery of
outstanding quality care.
Care Manager
Kim has been in the Social Care sector for over 20 years. She has covered all aspects of elderly care in her career and joined Weavers Court as a Senior Night Care Assistant before being promoted to Night Care Manager. She has a natural aptitude for organisation and leadership and so was a natural choice to become our Care Manager. Already knowing and understanding our residents well and having a critical insight into their care needs having run the Night team; a period which can present different facets than day time care. Away from us Kim thrives of being a mum of three children and being with her husband, spending time with family is the most important goal as we can all appreciate that life is too short.
Deputy Manager
I moved to the UK in 2005 and started my career as a care assistant, I quickly realised that this career is for me because I like to care for people and make the difference in their lives. I am passionate about providing the best possible care and I am eager to provide this while at Weavers Court.
My job role is very unique and rewarding and I am happy to see the residents who consider Weavers Court as their new home and our care team as part of their family.
My main aim is to create the place to all our residents full of friendship and positive atmosphere.
In my spare time I enjoy visiting different counties and learn about their culture and lifestyle. At home care for my lovely cats, and I like gardening.
Deputy Manager
I started my care journey 24 years ago as a care assistant, my ambition and compassion of care lead me to achieve Deputy Manager’s position at Weavers Court which I adore!
I love to build good relations with my residents & family members, making a positive difference to the residents’ lives, this gives me great satisfaction.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my Grandson & relaxing on holiday in Greece.
Front of House
Laura has been involved in the elderly care sector for a number of years; joining Weavers Court in November of 2023 originally as a Care Assistant and quickly became involved in all aspects of the home. Laura is passionate about delivery high quality, personal care. Her previous role within the home prior to becoming our Front of House Manager, gives Laura a unique insight into living as a resident which means she is perfectly placed to help with all aspects of your move and settling in.
General Manager
Karen has over 30 years’ experience working within the care industry. Starting as a care assistant she was promoted to gain her first care home managers role at the age of 23! After relocating to Australia for three years, she returned to the care management role and went onto successfully commission four elderly care homes. Within the same organisation, she then worked as an Operation’s Manager supporting the groups homes. Due to the sale of the business, she returned to the management role and upheld an Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission.
Karen is committed to providing the residents with the best possible person-centred care. She has extensively travelled throughout the world but is now a self-declared crazy cat lady!
Deputy Manager
Michelle has worked in care for 16 years. She started as a Healthcare Assistant in the community, worked as a senior carer for past 6 years and gained her level 5 in Healthcare Management and Leadership while managing a day centre.
She feels very lucky to have such a rewarding job. She loves making people smile and is a great listener and her infectious laugh is enough to brighten anyone’s day. She is looking forward to developing her career as a deputy and supporting the staff team.
Front of House Manager
Samantha has over 10 years’ experience in the care industry, previously working as an Activities Manager for another care home and as Care Home Entertainer, specialising in music therapy for those living with Dementia. Her career as a professional singer has seen her perform all over the country at major 1940’s events, alongside Scarborough Spa Orchestra, in the chorus of Swansea City Opera, for the Duchess of Northumberland and has even duetted with Michael Bublé.
She is passionate about working with elderly people in care and believes it’s important to build strong relationships with both residents and their families to ensure they get the most out of living at the DurhamGate and she doesn’t take much encouragement to join in with a sing along!
Care Manager
Lisa is a highly accomplished care executive holding senior and General Manager positions in a number of homes in the Durham area. In her last setting she was directly responsible for transforming the service to a Good rating through CQC. Lisa has a truly empathetic approach to elderly care and is clinically minded ensuring care plans and risk assessments fully reflect our residents life history and care needs in a person centred way. When not working, she enjoys time with her dogs and relaxing with family.
