This year, the team at Weavers Court Care Home has secured their place as the Top Care Home in Yorkshire & The Humber 2023 in the annual awards from carehome.co.uk. Our home is relatively newly opened, which makes this award all the more special for both our team and our residents.
Located in Yeadon, on the outskirts of Leeds and Bradford, Weavers Court offers residential, dementia and short-stay respite care in a luxurious of setting with 66 en suite bedrooms across three floors. In addition to our top 20 placing, the team is thrilled to have a 10 out of 10 score on Carehome.co.uk – which means more because it comes from the reviews from our residents and their families.

Summer 2024 will be an especially exciting time for our residents. While there’s always a great schedule of planned activities, summer represents the time when our residents get out and about most often. With better weather, we can also do more in our fabulous gardens with garden walks and potting club on offer. Our activities team have created a magnificent schedule that they know every resident can choose as much or as little of as they like. In-home activities include trips to the salon, as well as pub evenings and movie nights – and there’s always time for cake and a chat in our tea room. However, our team make sure to include some extra special visitors in the schedule, including Leeds United Foundation’s Sophie Dale for exercising and even a visit from some very fluffy and friendly alpacas from Altreca Alpacas.
Every day is special at Weavers Court, with a particular emphasis placed on our dining experience which is well loved by all residents. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room or in your own room, if you would prefer. Mealtimes are the perfect opportunity to come together and catch up on what each other has been doing. We also find that plans are made over lunch for the afternoon activities that people will join in. Our dining rooms are often abuzz with happy chatter, as residents delight over the meals created by our wonderful chef and kitchen team. We have a “pop up restaurant” once a month held in our Tea Room on the first floor, often with balcony doors open. We have done, Greek, Chinese, Italian, French and Tapas nights so far. All suggestions welcome!
While our home is the perfect place to enjoy the long summer days and warm evenings, we’ve got a host of day trips that our residents are looking forward to. Every week, there’s something on offer. Some weeks will take in a visit to a local ice cream parlour for a few scoops but we’re also heading further afield this summer. Amongst the many trips, we have Kirkstall Abbey, one of England’s best preserved Cistercian monasteries, where our residents can explore how life was for the monks over the centuries. Another trip will see our residents getting up close and personal with animals ay Yorkshire Wildlife Park and with nature once more at None Go Bye Farm. And then there is world Picnic Day and Pub visits. We’ve got lots of great trips planned!
Weavers Court delivers high quality residential care that is tailored to our residents’ individual needs. Our care and support teams work with our residents to ensure that they make something special out of every day, helping them to forge friendships and make new companions. Our residents are encouraged to stay as active as they can, with some chair-based exercises or a gentle stroll around our flowering gardens.
Staff at Weavers Court are trained to deliver care tailored to residents living with dementia. Our team spends time with our dementia patients, taking things at their pace and working with them with care and compassion. They’ll also help them to join in with our activities, which is part of our all-inclusive living.
Weavers Court welcomes residents who will only be with us on a short stay basis. We help and encourage short stay residents to get involved with life at Weavers Court. Our All-inclusive living means that you can join in with everything that’s on offer from cinema movie nights to pre-dinner drinks at our Sky Bar.
