Dedicated Well-being Coordinator on hand.
Delivering person-centred care, activities which are based on interests.
We select activities to help boost independence.
We welcome residents and their families to take part.
We invest in days out and external entertainers.
Health / Happiness / Vitality / Wellbeing
These are four key components we seek to both deliver and achieve for our residents.
Our Well-being Coordinator will ensure that they and other members of the care team spend time to understand your life story, what you like to do best, your preferences and ambitions, what relaxes you and what can energise you.
Above all, we will explore what lifts your mood and enhances your feeling of well-being so that we can simply help make you feel happy!
It is never too late to try something new, so if you fancy a dabble in a hobby, pastime or activity of any sort that you have never quite got around to, then we will seek to make it happens in some way. We can always be a little inventive!
All of our activities are delivered by the whole care team and a holistic approach is part of our ethos. Everyone gets involved.
Events, activities, trips, and entertainment are based on physical, mental, spiritual, therapeutic, sensual, and social enrichment. We have a varied choice within our program scheduled each month, which is driven by our residents for our residents. We love to make a plan but we also love to go off plan when people want to and we are happy to do something off the wall just because we can. Weavers Court is not an institution, it is our residents’ home and changing what we do is never an issue.
We encourage families, friends and loved ones to take part and even be part of the fun. Whether it is stepping in as a dance partner, becoming a waiter or waitress for the evening, or helping solve a puzzle, everyone is welcome.
